With competing priorities across work, spouse, kids, parents, finances, and your own health, accommodate some ‘me time’ for your thing…a habit that rejuvenates you.
You don’t have to do it daily, heck, it could even be hard to follow through once a week. But it just needs to be accessible, so when you can, you can plan for it.
It should be something that’s not a checklist, don’t apply any framework to be consistent, find something that is intrinsic for you. With everything else going on in life, give it 5 years or so for it to compound.
It’s been close to a decade of that with writing and half a decade with cycling for me. It’s helped me slow down time and unwind in ways I didn’t expect starting off.
